Greetings,

On behalf of our board of directors, our artistic director, Monique Richard, our choristers, and our entire team, I am writing to solicit your financial contribution to the Louisbourg Choir.

Like so many arts organizations, we are recovering from the pandemic lockdown and rebuilding our financial health. With the lifting of pandemic restrictions, in March 2022, we were able to resume our regular concert tours, allowing us to reconnect with our loyal audiences in Southeast New Brunswick, the Acadian Peninsula and the provincial capital where we perform regularly. In addition, over the past year, we performed in Restigouche and Amherst, in Nova Scotia, where we had not performed in close to a decade, and in Madawaska for the first time ever.

In parallel with our concert tours, we had a recording session with Leaf Music, a label company in Halifax. This soon to be available recording, entitled Tapisserie canadienne aux couleurs d’Acadie, highlights the musical and literary work of Acadian and New Brunswick artists, including Herménégilde Chiasson, Emma Haché, Raymond Guy LeBlanc, Frédéric Chiasson, Richard Gibson, Carl Philippe Gionet, Rachel Léger and Jean François Mallet, among others. With this project, a follow-up to our virtual mini-concert Mosaïque Canadienne, recorded in 2021, we hope to contribute to the development of choir singing from our own corner of the world.

We are, of course, already working on new projects for the future, including a new concert series for the 2023-2024 season, as well as choral gathering for youth. We hope to be able to count on your generosity to help us bring these projects to fruition. We sincerely thank you in advance.
